A classic meeting of neon, DayGlo, disco, and VHS cassettes. From the individual to the collective, the performance retraces history through stories.
In their 4th new production, Sidonie, Emilie, and Jeremy have revisited their own dance origins – their parents’ records and pop culture – and created a show consisting of three solos. From John Travolta to Maurice Béjart to the biggest hit of summer 2017, the personal material and subjects sketch a puzzle-like portrait of Collectif ÈS. Exploring the notion of identity, the three dancers investigate their own relationships with dance, devising, and the passing of time. How can these past elements be constantly updated?
